Sales of spillover-effect insurance products and provision of in-kind benefits by life insurers in 2024 through Q2

As of the second quarter of 2024, the performance of life insurers in selling spillover-effect insurance products and providing in-kind benefits was as follows:
1. The FSC has approved or accepted registrations of 227 spillover-effect insurance products from 14 life insurance companies. In total, 616,088new contracts for such products have been sold as of the second quarter of 2024, up by 13% from 544,368 compared to the second quarter of 2023. The first-year premium income was NT$11,582.14 million, up by 12% from NT$10,379.24 million compared to the second quarter of 2023.
2. The FSC has approved or accepted registrations of 44 in-kind payment insurance products from 6 life insurance companies. In total, 135,296 new contracts for such products have been sold as of the second quarter of 2024, up by 35% from 100,460 compared to the second quarter of 2023. The first-year premium income was NT$1,120.62 million, down by 16% from NT$1,336.25 million compared to the second quarter of 2023.
